As a qualified Pluralistic counsellor and psychotherapist, I am currently providing in-person counselling in Dumfries, Scotland, as well as online therapy service Nation wide via Zoom.
WHAT IS PLURALISTIC COUNSELLING?
When working pluralistically, it is recognised that there is no single truth but a multitude of perspectives. Therefore, as a client, I would collaborate with you to understand your unique truth or 'internal frame of reference.' I firmly believe that we are all unique and therefore require different support at different times. It is important for me to understand where you are today.

WHAT I CAN OFFER YOU
When we begin working together, my priority is to build a trusting relationship where you feel safe to explore your inner world. I draw from a broad range of professional experiences and training, tailoring my approach to suit your individual preferences and needs. My practice may incorporate person-centred therapy, CBT, psychodynamic approaches, and creative methods such as using stones, art, or writing.
I’ve supported clients facing a wide variety of challenges, and together we’ll work to build a shared understanding of where you are now and where you’d like to be.
I have significant experience working with unpaid carers, retired individuals, and individuals with sensory loss (including vision and hearing).
As a queer-affirming therapist, I respect individual LGBTQIA+ identities and possess a working knowledge of the common problems faced within the community, along with links to local resources.
I am a registered member of the BACP, which means I adhere to their code of ethics: (https://www.bacp.co.uk/media/3103/bacp-ethical-framework-for-the-counselling-professions-2018.pdf)
I am PVG registered (Adult and Children) (updated June 2025), currently hold indemnity insurance through Holistic Insurance Services, and am registered with the ICO.
